Working a Repair Order
This is where techs spend their day: open the RO, clock in on the job, write down what you found, and add the labor and parts it needs.

What's on an RO
- Top bar â the RO number, customer, status, and buttons to edit (âī¸), print (đ¨) and invoice.
- Colored buttons â the next step for this job, like Mark Work Complete â Notify SA. See Moving a Job Along.
- Customer and Vehicle â tap View Profile for the customer's full record.
- Work â each concern (job) with its tech notes, labor and parts. The buttons above it â Canned Job, Assign Tech, + Concern, Schedule â appear if your login allows them.
- Totals, Photos, Inspections and Notes further down.
Clock in on a job
- Find your labor line under the concern.
- Tap âļ Clock In when you start.
- Tap âš Clock Out when you stop â for lunch, to wait on a part, or when you're done.
Already clocked in on another job? The app asks whether to Switch â it clocks you out of the old job and into the new one. Your clocked time is compared with the flag hours on the line.
Tech notes
Each concern has a Tech Notes box: what you found, what you did, what's still needed. Type it â or tap the microphone on the keyboard and talk â then tap Add. The service writer uses your notes to write up the job for the customer.
Cause and correction
When the work is done, tap Edit on the concern and fill in the Cause (what was wrong) and Correction (what you did). Warranty companies and customers expect both.
Labor and parts
- + Labor â add a labor line: a description, the type, flag hours and the tech.
- + Part â search your inventory by name, part number or SKU, or tap the camera to scan the barcode. Parts not in stock can be added by hand; they show â Needs Order until they arrive.
- + Split â when two techs share a job, split the flag hours between them.
Customer approval
Each concern shows whether the customer Approved or Declined it. If the customer tells you in person, anyone whose login shows pricing can tap the answer right on the concern.
